BOARDING
Hickory Ridge has someone on the premises most of the time. Our home is on the property and looks out to all the paddocks. Joel’s business office is also on the farm and has someone in the office M-F during business hours. Nightly checks are conducted each evening when horses are in stalls to simply make sure each horse looks healthy and happy.

HEALTH PROGRAM:
Veterinarian Care
Easton Veterinary Hospital provides care to most Hickory Ridge horses. They have provided excellent service to us for many years and the practice has a good emergency system.
Preventive Vaccine and Worming Schedule
Horses at Hickory Ridge are wormed every two months. Stool samples are taken periodically to check the
efficiency of our worming program.
Vaccines are administered annually for rabies, strangles, and tetanus, and twice annually for Eastern and Western encephalitis, Potomac Horse Fever and West Nile viruses. We will be happy to provide the exact worming and vaccination schedule upon request. We also require you to vaccinate against strangles.
FARRIER
You may use any farrier you choose. We have several farriers who come to Hickory Ridge.. Boarders are responsible for holding their own horse or making arrangements for someone else to assist.
